We are looking for an enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to support students in a mainstream secondary school in Hemel Hempstead, beginning in September 2025.This is an ideal role for someone with experience in behaviour management, youth work, or mentoring, looking to make a direct impact on young people’s education and emotional well-being.Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting students in class and in small intervention groups
- Helping to reduce barriers to learning caused by behaviour or emotional challenges
- Mentoring students to build confidence, motivation and resilience
- Supporting teachers in maintaining a calm, respectful learning environment
- Logging behaviour incidents and contributing to intervention planning
- Experience working with students with behavioural needs in schools or youth settings
- Confident communicator and natural rapport-builder
- Calm, patient and consistent approach
- Committed to promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Team player with a growth mindset
- Enhanced DBS required (or willing to obtain)
