Our client is currently seeking an experienced Structures Team Leader to join their Consultancy division.Key skills required for this rolebridge leader manager chartered engineer highway structures structuralImportantBridge Engineering, design, maintenanceJob descriptionAs a Structures Team Leader, you will lead a team of designers and inspectors with a primary focus on highway structures. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, ensure successful project delivery, and support team development within a collaborative, safety-focused environment. This is a full-time, permanent position based from the Head Office in Kent.Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing a team of structural designers and inspectors, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Developing excellent and effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and external providers
  • Overseeing the planning, designing, and delivery of highway structures projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Carrying out monthly programme and financial reporting
  • Liaising with the client team on progress
  • Preparing reports, drawings, schedules, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and other documents in accordance with local procedures
Job Requirements:
  • Membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or an equivalent professional status
  • Significant experience in structural engineering
  • Experience leading a team of engineers
  • Familiarity with local government and private sector clients
  • Good working knowledge of different contract types, including NEC3
