As a Teaching Assistant (internally known as Inclusion Support Coordinator), you will work collaboratively with our Prison Education team, providing support to learners with neurodiverse and inclusion needs.Based from HMYOI Werrington you will manage a caseload of learners, carry out initial screening activity and develop Individual Learning Support plans. You will promote an effective and inclusive learning environment, providing support to learners both in a classroom or workshop environment and on a one to one basis.What are we looking for?You will need to demonstrate high ethical standards, take personal accountability for everything you do, and always want to be the best. You should have relevant and recent experience in a similar role within a learning environment and hold or be willing to work towards a level 3 Learning Support qualification.You will be passionate, creative, and empathetic towards our learners, offering knowledge and guidance throughout their academic and vocational studies.
