Frimley Health Foundation TrustAdvanced Cardiac Physiologist (Echocardiography)Contract: Full Time, 1-Year Fixed Term (Maternity Leave Cover)Department: Cardiology Investigations Unit (CIU)The Cardiology Investigations Unit (CIU) at Frimley Park Hospital provides a comprehensive range of both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic cardiology services for inpatients and outpatients. Our services include a 7-day non-invasive testing schedule and a 24/7 Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PPCI) service.We are seeking an experienced and motivated cardiac physiologist to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be a competent and independent practitioner in echocardiography, including experience with stress echocardiography and contrast-enhanced imaging.Key responsibilities include:- Performing and reporting echocardiography procedures independentlySupporting advanced imaging techniques such as stress and contrast echo- Contributing to the training, supervision, and development of junior staff- Acting as a specialist technical resource within the team- Demonstrating flexibility in response to service demands and departmental changesWe are looking for an individual with a commitment to clinical excellence and continued professional development. A willingness to learn and further enhance your knowledge and skills is essential.Main duties of the jobo Expert with a high level of professional and clinical knowledge acquired through formal training / experience in echocardiography.o Registered physiologist either with the council for Clinical Physiologists and British Society of Echocardiography accreditation.o The post holder will have substantial experience in cardiology, significant experience at a senior level with highly developed specialist knowledge in echocardiography.o The post holder will carry out highly specialist echocardiography procedures including stress echo and physiologist led valve clinics.
