We are looking for a Head of Finance & Operations to join our senior team. This is a pivotal role at nPlan, combining ownership of financial strategy with operational excellence and company-wide execution discipline. You'll be the backbone of how we run the company, ensuring we scale efficiently and deliver on our ambitious goals.This role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the broader leadership team.nPlan is a fast-growing, venture-backed scale-up with investors including GV (Google Ventures) and Demis Hassabis (founder of DeepMind). Our purpose is to inspire the world to forecast correctly and empower it to tackle risk, powered by our deep learning technology and its unique ability to forecast the outcomes of construction projects.We're on a mission to change how projects are planned, managed and executed — unlocking trillions of dollars of value for the world through better forecasting. You'll be joining a world-class team with the ambition and backing to make that mission a reality.What the role involvesAs Head of Finance & Operations, you will:
  • Lead financial strategy and management
  • Own financial modelling, scenario planning, cashflow forecasting, and investor reporting.
  • Manage relationships with accountants, auditors, and advisors to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Build and maintain robust financial systems to support scale.
  • Drive operational excellence
  • Identify and implement improvements in how we operate, from workflows to decision-making processes.
  • Build scalable systems that allow the company to run faster and more efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and information security requirements.
  • Enable execution and accountability
  • Run the rhythm of the company: planning, goal-setting, and performance tracking.
  • Drive alignment across teams against strategic priorities, ensuring measurable outcomes are achieved.
  • Partner with leaders across the business to unblock bottlenecks and accelerate delivery.
  • Lead and grow the Operations function
  • Manage and mentor members of the operations team.
  • Build a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
About youWe're looking for someone who combines financial acumen with operational rigour, and who thrives in a fast-paced, scale-up environment:
  • 6+ years of experience in finance, operations, or strategy — ideally within a high-growth tech company or consulting.
  • Deep experience with financial modelling, scenario planning, and board-level reporting.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling operational systems in a fast-growing business.
  • Highly analytical, structured, and data-driven in decision-making.
  • A natural organiser who thrives on accountability and ensuring things get done.

Nice to have:
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or data/AI startups.
  • Exposure to fundraising processes and investor relations.
