Salary: £100K DOEIm currently supporting a client in the search for a Head of Quality to lead their Quality function within a well-established, highly regulated engineering organisation. This is a key leadership role with real influence, offering the chance to drive quality strategy across a business delivering high-impact, complex programmes.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who’s confident working at both operational and strategic levels, and who thrives in a role where quality, compliance and continuous improvement are front and centre.What the Role Involves:
- Leading and managing a multi-disciplinary quality team, setting clear objectives and driving high performance.
- Taking ownership of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / AS9100 and other regulatory standards.
- Overseeing internal and supplier audits, calibration activities and assurance reporting.
- Working closely with project, engineering and operations teams to integrate quality at every phase of delivery.
- Managing stakeholder relationships at a senior level, including customer quality interactions and regulatory bodies.
- Using quality KPIs and data to identify trends, drive improvements and support business performance goals.
- Supporting major programme reviews, milestone sign-off, and key customer engagement.
- Contributing to overall business strategy and driving a quality-first culture across the organisation.
- Proven experience in a senior quality leadership role within defence, aerospace, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 / AS9100 and best practices in quality assurance and compliance.
- Experience managing quality in complex programme environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills – someone who can influence at all levels.
- Degree-qualified in a relevant technical or engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Salary up to £100,000, depending on experience
