- Plan and deliver engaging, creative vocational sessions tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Incorporate outdoor activities into lessons to enhance learning experiences.
- Build trusting relationships with students to support their emotional and academic development.
- Develop and implement schemes of work that are both creative and target based.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- A deep and comprehensive understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ideally supported by formal training such as Autism Awareness Level 1 or Level 2 certification.

- Proven ability to teach ICT and Computing effectively across a wide age range and spectrum of ability levels, including those with complex SEND.
- Strong understanding of autism and neurodivergent learning needs, ideally supported by Autism Level 1 or Level 2 training or equivalent CPD.
- Clear, confident communication skills – able to build relationships with students, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Familiarity with both formative and summative assessment practices and confidence in using data to inform planning and improve outcomes.
- A commitment to learning beyond the classroom, with a flexible and creative approach to lesson delivery.
- Up-to-date training and understanding of the safe handling of students, including de-escalation and physical intervention where necessary (e.g., Team Teach or equivalent).
- HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) qualification or other relevant education-based training.
- Strong organisational skills and competent in using educational technology and administrative systems.
- Passion for inclusive education, vocational learning, and supporting students in preparing for life beyond school
- Flexible, reflective, and constantly striving for self-improvement and best practice.
- A DBS Check, or readiness to undergo a DBS check.
