With a secured long-term contract and a collaborative team atmosphere, this role promises stability, growth, and the chance to make a real impact in the industry.What You Will Do:- Fabricate and fit aluminium components using jigs and fixtures, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and fabrication procedures.- Conduct visual and non-destructive inspections to guarantee the quality of fabricated components aligns with specifications.- Operate hand tools and measuring instruments to complete tasks with precision.- Perform European qualification of welder approval tests on a regular basis.- Report equipment faults or unusual occurrences through approved Maintenance Reporting Procedures.- Log hours and tasks accurately using a Materials Requirements Planning system, SAP.What You Will Bring:- Recognised Time-Served Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline.- Practical fitting experience in a heavy manufacturing or fabrication environment.- Knowledge of key production processes and procedures.- Strong understanding of quality, safety, and environmental systems.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.This role is integral to delivering high-quality equipment for the defence sector, contributing to the organisation's reputation for excellence and reliability.
