The successful candidate will provide essential support to children living in a residential setting, ensuring their well-being and assisting in their development.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children in a residential environment.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment where children feel valued and cared for.
  • Assist children with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational pursuits.
  • Support children in developing social skills and emotional resilience.
  • Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Monitor and record children's progress and behavior, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
  • Engage in play and recreational activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of professionals, including social workers, therapists, and educators.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities regularly.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding protocols to protect children.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A strong desire to work with children and impact their lives positively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and empathize with children from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desired Experience:
  • Experience in a childcare or residential care setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices is preferred.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by children in care and the importance of supportive relationships.
