
1st Line Support Engineer

- Provide first-line technical support and fulfil IT service requests in line with agreed SLAs
- Log support calls and actions accurately and consistently
- Ensure compliance with IT Security Policies; escalate breaches to management as needed
- Follow change control procedures for all relevant activities
- Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers
- Manage the lifecycle of End User Compute devices (ordering, building, upgrading, disposal)
- Ensure adequate coverage of the service desk during supported hours
- Participate in technical and business projects and service requests
- Conduct remote support visits to STBG sites as required
- Monitor infrastructure performance and status
- Maintain documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
- Proven experience in a 1st line IT support or similar role.
- Minimum 1 year of IT Support experience or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Basic networking knowledge (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
