- Contribute to all teaching and learning, particularly clinical skills and simulated practice across all nursing, midwifery and advanced practice programmes (under the supervision of an academic member of staff).
- Demonstrate professional integrity by acting as a role model for evidence-based, inclusive, person-centred simulated clinical practice so learners can mirror accountability, professional values, and appropriate delegation.
- Work with learners to develop clinical skills integrating theory to practice, developing an understanding of safety and risk minimisation and effective person-centred communication.
- Provide high quality learning and teaching activities, materials and presentations based on sound educational principles.
- Engage in student assessment, evaluating educational activity and maintaining safe learning environment.
- Bachelor degree in a healthcare or cognate discipline - Essential ( E)
- Registered Nurse (RN) mental health field (E)
- Working within a healthcare setting with the option to maintain links where possible to maintain clinical currency whilst in post (E)
- Evidence of interest in the use of high-fidelity simulation-based learning and support the development of others to optimise learning through simulation based learning (E)
- Higher degree relevant to healthcare or cognate disciplines, research or teaching or equivalent qualifications - Preferred (P)
- Hold or willingness to undertake postgraduate qualification in higher education /Fellowship Higher Education Academy (E)
- High level analytical capability (E)
- Ability to design and deliver evidence based teaching and learning materials and simulation based learning (E)
- Ability to assess and organise resources effectively (E)
- Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration/assessment/evaluation processes associated with learning and teaching in higher education (E)
- Knowledge of the protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010, and how to actively ensure in day to day activity in own area that those with protected characteristics are treated equally and fairly (E)
