Our mission is to be a world-famous household name known for our quality and expertise in both our own label and branded potato products.As we continue to grow and innovate, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Hygiene Manager to join our team at our potato packing site in Airdrie- North Lanarkshire.The Hygiene Manager will be responsible for overseeing all hygiene operations within the facility, ensuring that our standards are in line with industry regulations and that we maintain a safe and clean working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to hygiene management.Shift & Hours of work: Nightshift- 10pm – 06.00AM- Sunday- ThursdaySalary: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the hygiene management system including policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Lead and manage a team of hygiene operatives, ensuring they are trained and motivated to uphold the highest hygiene standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of hygiene practices across the facility to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement action plans to enhance hygiene practices.
  • Liaise with production and quality control teams to address any hygiene-related issues promptly.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and ensure the company is compliant with all relevant legislation and standards.
  • Report hygiene performance to senior management and recommend improvements based on findings.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable managerial role within the FMCG sector.
  • At least 5 years’ hands-on experience in food manufacturing, with a strong understanding of hygiene, compliance, and operational standards in chilled or ambient environments.
  • Proven leadership experience, managing teams of 20 or more people, with a focus on performance, development, and operational excellence.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ideally with experience in chilled or frozen food production.
