About the Kitchen Porter role:
  • As a member of the kitchen team you will be ensuring that high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times whilst also helping with general food prep.
  • Training will be provided. However, a smile, dedication to exceeding customer expectations, and being a great team player are essentials!
Job DescriptionSalary: £14.85 per hourWorking 5 days over 7Gallery opening hours are 10-6 excluding Fridays that will be 10-9.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sinks, countertops, and floors.
  • Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in storage areas and ensure food safety standards are followed.
  • Assist with waste management and recycling.
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables and cutting ingredients.
  • Organise and store kitchen supplies, ensuring they are readily available for use.
  • Help with unloading deliveries and storing items appropriately.
QualificationsPrevious experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.Ability to work as part of a team.Good communication skills.
