The roleWe are looking for a Project Manager to join our Payments Portfolio Team who has experience of working in Banking and / or Fintech / Payments for at least 5 years. This is an exciting and fast-paced role that requires a team mentality to fit in with our supportive and team-based culture.Responsibilities:The Project Manager reports directly to the Portfolio Lead and is accountable for:Managing the full lifecycle of projects in line with existing methodologies, including:
  • Project goal, objectives and scoping the case for change
  • Supporting the Business Case development
  • Project planning and seeking related stage gate and key milestones approval
  • Providing regular briefings as required to relevant committees / stakeholders
  • Governance oversight and reporting with clear accountability
  • KPI management and post project implementation review
  • Providing overall budgetary direction and control
  • Supporting the identification and management of benefits realisation within the project lifecycle
  • Ensure effective oversight and co-ordination of multiple projects, with particular emphasis on project prioritisation, effective collaboration and matrix management of interdependencies, escalation and management of relevant risks, issues and change
  • Continuously assess project outcomes and benefits, and make necessary adjustments as required to improve project effectiveness and delivery
  • Collaborating with business areas and enabling functions to deliver projects to the production environment, whist maintaining operational stability and supporting benefits realisation
Essential Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong experience in Business Analysis working in Banking and / or Fintech / Payments
  • Proficient in techniques for streamlining business processes which have been modelled and understood. Examples: error-proofing, value added assessment, process cycle time reduction, future-proofing, resilience, reliability, cost effectiveness
  • Expert in creating analysis of ‘as is’ business processes and developing new ‘to be’ business process and get signoff from business owners.
  • Expert analytical skills and business analysis and process design techniques (including knowledge of analytical methods, techniques and tools)
  • Be able to communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole
  • Proven commercial experience in the development and management of the project business cases and delivery budgets
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven experience in dealing with senior business users, determining requirements and priorities as well as resolving issues
  • Experience of identifying and embedding industry best practice into current ways of working
Desirable knowledge & Experience:
  • Good understanding of all stages in a project lifecycle
  • Experience of Agile delivery methodologies
  • Strong customer awareness and a proven track record of ensuring the Business is always at the forefront of decision making
