Please contact Karen Lloyd (Practice Manager) karen.lloyd12@nhs.net or Rosie Duckels (Senior Nurse) rosie.duckels@nhs.net on 01332 332812We are a busy, friendly and growing GP practice looking after 11,700,patients across two sites in Derby City Centre and are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player to join our well established nursing team to deliver excellent patient care.The successful candidate will have excellent communication, ideally experience with all long term conditions, treatment room clinical skills and have experience of working a GP surgery.Main duties of the jobResponsible for assisting in the day to day running and duties of the treatment room, including the following:a. Wound management.b. Ear care.c. Administration of routine injections B12/Prostap/Nebido/Flu/Shingles and Pneumococcal vaccines.d. Assisting with minor surgery procedures/coil and implant fits.e. Management of minor injuries.f. Diagnostic screening such as blood pressure, ECGs, Peak Flow, height, weight, BMI, urinalysis, smoking status.g. Administering childhood immunisations according to the UK schedule.h. Travel health risk assessments and immunisationsi. NHS and New Patient health checks.j. Health promotion and education.k. Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabsl. Venepuncturem. Cervical Cytologyn. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care pathways to meet the needs of individuals and groups within an agreed policy, PGDs, guidelines, national service frameworks and identifying the need for referral to otherso.
