With over 30 years of industry experience, ABM UK is dedicated to delivering high-quality facility services to a diverse range of clients, including shopping centers, commercial locations, and airports.We are currently seeking a responsible and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises and assets. You will contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and preventing unauthorized access and incidents.Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect any signs of intrusion or unauthorized entry
  • Monitor and control access points, including checking identification and issuing visitor passes
  • Operate and maintain security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarms
  • Respond to alarms and incidents promptly and appropriately, including performing first aid if required
  • Write detailed reports on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and employees, assisting with inquiries and directing them as needed
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols
  • Valid SIA license
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent observation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle and defuse conflict situations with professionalism
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
