We have an exciting new opportunity for a SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER to support our clients A800 LV and Small Power design team. Stockton is preferred however other locations will be considered.Accountabilities:Ensuring the safety, functionality or compliance of low voltage electrical distribution systems.
Providing internal stakeholders with appropriate challenge and professional advice to ensure the development or delivery of high quality engineering solutions for the building services/ LVAC Electrical design and assurance.
Evaluating, selecting, and applying appropriate solutions to engineering problems that improve efficiency or effectiveness, while improving safety and reducing operating costs.Knowledge:Preferably Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer, recognised international equivalent or possesses equivalent knowledge and experience.
Good knowledge of low voltage electrical distribution systems.
Basic understanding of the interfaces between own discipline / functional specialism and the wider engineering team deployed on a complex multi-disciplined design, construction and commissioning effort.
Basic understanding of the principles of risk management and value engineering.
Working knowledge of applicable health &safety legislation, industry best practice, standards and guidance.Essential Skills & Experience:Skilled Technical writing of Electrical Services Specifications. Value Engineering reports, Earthing and Bonding Plans, Designers Risk Assessments.
Proficient in LV design software, and Lighting design software (Pro design / Amtech/ Havecomp / Dialux / Relux).
Good knowledge of BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations latest version and associated guidance documents.
Basic knowledge in CAD.
