Salary: MPS + SEN AllowanceAcademics Ltd is working with a well-regarded primary SEN school in Hampshire to recruit a committed and experienced SEN Teacher for a full-time position starting in September. This is a 1-year fixed term contract, with the potential for extension.The school caters to primary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, social and communication challenges, and moderate learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, patience, and a deep understanding of how to support pupils with complex needs in a communication-rich environment.The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience working in a specialist or SEN setting, ideally within a primary age range
- Be confident in using a range of communication strategies, such as Makaton, visuals, prompting techniques, choose boards, and other augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems
- Demonstrate a nurturing, flexible, and creative teaching approach
- Have excellent classroom management and teamwork skills
- Have a DBS or be willing to submit one
- Be passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential
