A Day in the Life at hazel as Snr Sous Chef...What you'll be doing...Reporting to the Executive Head Chef you can expect your working day to include the following.
  • Directing the food preparation process and delegating tasks
  • Cooking and preparing high quality dishes using various techniques
  • Assisting the Execuitve Head Chef to create menu items, recipes and develop dishes
  • Supervising all kitchen stations and providing guidance to junior level staff
  • Working with Execuitve Head Chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities.
What we need from you...We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements...To succeed in the role of Snr Sous Chef, you will need the following qualities and skills.
  • Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards - advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a similar role!
  • Strong communicator with friendly and pleasant personality
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to engage with staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, but also to use initiative and to work autonomously, as required.
