Field Team ManagerLocation: The role is home based, and you will be expected to travel extensively throughout the UK to support your team of field engineers.The Siemens Industrial and Commercial (I&C) Electricity Metering Field Team Manager role provides day to day operational management for a field team of I&C Commercial Meter Operatives. It supports the Field Operations Manager for I&C in optimising the performance of the team to ensure safe working and delivery of the business objectives.Role & Responsibilities
  • Drive strategic business objectives through operational excellence and safety compliance
  • Monitor team KPIs, service levels, and implement performance improvement initiatives
  • Provide regular analytics and reporting while maintaining company standards
  • Lead recruitment, succession planning, and talent development
  • Champion change management and new ways of working
  • Reduce attrition through effective team engagement and knowledge sharing
  • Build relationships with contractors, Energy Forums, and customers
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards through field audits
What skills and experience will you bring to the role?
  • Full clean license which must be valid in the UK
  • Experience managing remote teams.
  • City & Guilds 236/2330 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of Health and Safety issues and its implications in the workplace is essential as well as a knowledge of issuing risk assessments for work, accident and incident reporting.
  • The ability to analyse data to drive performance and growth across the team
  • Understanding of the industry codes of practices, policies and procedures, including safety requirements, which are relevant to Commercial and Industrial Meter Operations and the ability to effectively communicate these to the staff
  • Ability to review photos of installations in varying levels of completeness to advise customers on requirements for work to go progress to completion
  • Experience of resolving complex customer issues regarding billing, workmanship, general complaints etc
  • Ability to motivate others and develop good team working relationships.
Advantageous:
  • A good knowledge of commercial metering, billing and communications would be a distinct advantage
  • Ideally will have taken the lead in delivering tasks or projects and played a key part in the prioritisation and allocation of tasks / activities amongst a team
