DescriptionD.T Technician - Leeds - Immediate Start Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Agency: Veritas Education Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Term-time only Salary: up to £160 per dayVeritas Education are working with a secondary school in Leeds seeking an experienced Design & Technology Technician to join their team immediately.This is a full-time, term-time only position, ideal for someone with practical experience in a school setting or relevant workshop environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain tools, equipment, and materials for D.T lessonsSupport teachers in delivering lessons across all D.T specialisms including Resistant Materials, Electronics, Textiles, Product Design, and ideally Food TechnologyEnsure all equipment is used safely and health & safety protocols are followedAssist with demonstrations and provide technical guidance to studentsCarry out maintenance and basic repairs on tools and machineryRequirements:Previous experience as a D.T technician or in a similar practical roleConfident handling D.T workshop equipment and materialsGood understanding of health & safety procedures in an educational settingOrganised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a teamDBS on the update service or willing to apply for oneWhat We Offer:Immediate start within a supportive school environmentFull-time role during term-timeMarket leading daily rates with temp to perm optionsOngoing support from Veritas Education consultantsTo apply, contact Veritas Education - Leeds Office today.Veritas Education is committed to safeguarding children and young people. Experience Experience working within a schools D.T department. Experience dealing with behaviour management. Experience using machinery in D.T workshops. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good time management skills, including the ability to work to deadlines. Qualifications GCSE or equivalent in a Design Technology subject or similar.
