Job Title: Store Detective SupervisorLocation: London South East (Travel Required own vehicle)Salary: Competitive + Travel Expenses + BenefitsAbout Us:We are a leading provider of retail security solutions, partnering with national retailers to deliver a safe and secure shopping environment. We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Store Detective Supervisor to oversee and support a team of 12 store detectives across the London / Kent and Essex region with our B&Q Contract.Job Summary:As the Store Detective Supervisor, you will be responsible for the management, support, and development of a team of store detectives. This includes conducting regular welfare visits, training, rota management, and liaising with our national crime centre and our stakeholders B&Q. You will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and the safety of store environments.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support a team of 12 store detectives across various locations numbers of stores close by London, Kent and Essex.
  • Travel regularly to conduct welfare checks, on-site audits, and performance evaluations.
  • Deliver training and mentoring to new and existing detectives to maintain high operational standards.
  • Liaise close by with retail clients and the National Crime Centre to ensure coordinated deployment and crime reporting.
  • Create and manage staff rotas, ensuring adequate cover and operational continuity.
  • Monitor and audit performance to maintain service quality and adherence to company policies.
  • Provide regular reports to Operation Management on team performance, incidents, and site activity.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory security role, ideally within the retail or loss prevention sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Valid SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor).
  • Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle and willingness to travel throughout London and Essex /Kent.
  • Good knowledge of Loss prevention and procedures related to retail acquisitive crime.
  • IT literate with ability to complete reports and rota systems.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience liaising with law enforcement agencies or national crime centres.
  • Experience in conducting audits and compliance checks.
  • Conduct regular site visits, actively engaging with B&Q colleague and fostering strong customer relationships across the contract.
  • Attend regional and national meetings, contributing to improving performance.
