We're proud to be working with a well-established, community-focused small animal practice in the heart of Brighton to recruit a General Veterinary Surgeon for their friendly and compassionate team.This practice has built a strong reputation locally for warmth, kindness, and continuity of care, with a loyal client base who value their personalised service.The team is close-knit and supportive, consisting of two vets, a full-time HRVN, a part-time RVN, a full-time Veterinary Care Assistant, two Client Care Assistants (one full-time and one part-time) and a dedicated Practice Manager.The role:You'll be joining a modern, well-equipped clinic with dental and digital X-ray, ultrasound, a full in-house laboratory, kennels, and a dedicated theatre, giving you all the tools you need to provide exceptional patient care.The caseload is varied, with a balanced mix of consultations and surgical work, and you'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) and would ideally suit a vet with a minimum of two years' UK experiencein small animal practice, who is confident in both surgery and consultations, and enjoys working collaboratively within a team.Key responsibilities include:- Delivering exceptional patient and client care every day- Carrying out consultations, procedures, admissions and discharges- Prescribing and dispensing medications responsibly- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records- Preparing estimates and ensuring payments are collected- Supporting and mentoring colleagues where required- Upholding practice, regulatory, and health & safety standards- Sharing and promoting clinical best practice within the teamYou will be:- RCVS registered- Experienced in both consultations and surgery- A strong communicator with excellent client relationship skills- A collaborative team player who supports colleagues across all areas of the clinic- Committed to delivering high standards and progressive veterinary medicineThe Benefits:- Salary up to £50,000 DOE per annum- Supportive, stable and friendly team environment- Well-equipped, modern facilities- Varied and interesting caseload- Fantastic location - Brighton offers a unique lifestyle with its vibrant culture, famous beach, independent shops, lively arts scene, and great food and drink optionsIf you're passionate about small animal care and looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference in a welcoming, community-minded practice, we'd love to hear from you.For more information or a confidential chat, please email This email address is being protected from spambots.
