Join us in delivering exceptional medical care.You will handle a diverse workload across various surgical specialties, with opportunities for subspecialising.What will your responsibilities be?As an ophthalmic anaesthesia consultant, you play a vital role in ensuring safe, effective anaesthetic care for patients undergoing eye surgery—from neonates to the elderly. You lead preoperative assessments, tailor anaesthetic plans using local anaesthesia, sedation, or general anaesthesia, and manage risks and complications during procedures. Your expertise supports surgeries ranging from cataracts to complex orbital operations, often performed as day cases. You collaborate closely with ophthalmic surgeons and theatre teams, ensuring smooth, efficient service delivery.   • GMC Specialist Register – Ophthalmic Anaesthesia
  • FRCA
  • CCT or CESR
  • 6+ months NHS Consultant Ophthalmic Anaesthesia exp
