TP Tutors have an amazing opportunity to work with Local Authorities and Schools across the Gateshead area. We are seeking confident tutors to provide functional maths and English skills to children who are currently not able to access mainstream education.This role may included working outside a mainstream setting in community hubs, homes and carehomes.The Role:
  • Plan and deliver subject focused sessions at student level
  • Provide constructive feedback and use this to plan next steps to enhance children’s learning.
  • Be aware of the child’s needs and interests, use this to engage the children and take a child-centred approach to learning.
  • Apply different behavioural strategies to engage the pupils in the session.
Tutor Requirements:
  • Professional teaching qualifications are preferred, especially Qualified Teacher Status in the UK.
  • Substantial UK curriculum experience with an ability to easily pick up where the student is currently working at and immediatly know next steps.
  • Experience of working with children with SEND/SEMH needs.
  • 2 professional references that cover a 24 month of employment from a 10 year career history.
  • An enhanced child workforce only DBS or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
