Frontend Software Engineer - JavaScript, React, London - Miller Maxwell is assisting an international electronic trading organisation seeking to expand their UI team. This position will see the successful Frontend Software Engineer working directly with front-office users to build customised UIs in a fast paced, live trading environment. The team in place is a mix of Full Stack Engineers and UI Software Engineers; this hire will have the freedom to lead projects and take ownership of some very exciting green-field development projects starting in 2025. 🚀Due to the nature of Miller Maxwell's client's business, you will be required to attend the office on a full time basis.This team approaches tech and mathematical problems with a unique perspective, consistently pushing the boundaries of innovation. 💡Key Responsibilities for the Frontend Software Engineer:
  • 🤝 Collaborate with an experienced front-office team to enhance their quantitative trading platform, focusing on front-end development.
  • 🖥️ Build user interfaces for front-office users.
  • 🔧 Implement, modify, and configure platform improvements.
  • 🤓 Work closely with back-end Software Engineers to design new platform features.
Requirements for the Frontend Software Engineer:
  • 🎓 A degree in a STEM-related subject.
  • 💼 At least four years of commercial frontend development experience
  • 💻 Proven experience with React.
  • 📈 Experience designing and developing electronic trading solutions - desirable.
  • 🏗️ Demonstrable experience in building large-scale, data-driven platforms.
