Blackburn & Co Ltd are a metal fabrication company, based in Essex, specialising in manufacturing and installation of all mild steel metalwork, such as staircases, handrails, balustrades, gates and bespoke fabrications.About the role:We are looking for a fabricator / welder who will work both in our workshop, based in West Horndon, Essex and onsite.Duties and Responsibilities:

Predominantly welding – gaining and maintaining the required welding codes
You will be completing tasks related to architectural steelwork
Understanding information prescribed within Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
Carrying out all tasks to safety, quality and efficiency standards
Non welding activities e.g. forming, grinding, operating and fabricating

About you:

Must have experience in reading drawings, fabrication and site work in various aspects of metalwork, ranging from balustrade, staircases to structural steelwork
Must have a CSCS card
Must have their own welding mask and general hand tools
A self-motivated individual
Excellent communication skills
