Independent Practice | £26,000–£28,000 | Full or Part TimeZest Optical are working alongside a long-established independent Opticians in Cardiff to recruit an Optical Assistant to join their friendly team.This family-run practice has been serving the local community for over 40 years and is renowned for its personalised service, clinical excellence, and luxury eyewear. You’ll work with premium brands including Chanel, Cartier, Versace, and Moscot, as well as unique independent collections, all within a warm, professional environment.Optical Assistant – Role
- Provide exceptional customer care from first welcome to final collection
- Assist patients in choosing frames to suit their prescription, style, and lifestyle
- Work with a wide range of frames and lenses, including luxury and independent brands
- Support the dispensing of all types of lenses, including complex prescriptions
- Handle reception and administrative duties as needed
- Maintain the practice’s welcoming atmosphere and high-end presentation
- Previous experience in an optical environment (independent or multiple)
- Confident in assisting with dispensing and adjustments
- Passionate about eyewear styling and customer service
- Friendly, professional, and able to work well within a small team
- Organised and proactive in supporting day-to-day practice operations
- Basic salary between £26,000 and £28,000 (DOE)
- Full or part-time hours available
