Contractor Oversight:
Oversee contractors' performance
Equipment and Bulks Purchasing Strategy
Develop procurement strategies
Draft purchase and material management plan
Stress test strategies against best practices
Implement worldwide/regional/country agreements
Logistics:
Develop delivery plan
Coordinate freight and permits
Monitor item delivery
Expedite vendors falling behind
Identify sourcing efficiencies
Negotiate and issue purchase orders
Purchasing:
Identify potential vendors
Pre-qualify vendors
Interface with central procurement
Issue RFQs and purchase orders
Support closeout process
Manage commodity spend
Participate in claim resolution
Prepare bid evaluations and recommendations
Background and Requirements
Master's degree in Engineering or another relavent field of education
Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in MEP, Construction, or Facilities for large industrial projects ($100m+ CAPEX).
Additional experience in project controls or construction management is preferred.
Experience in the hi-tech, construction, and/or automotive industries is a plus.
Proficiency in strategic sourcing, opportunity analyses, and contract negotiations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI.
Able to thrive in a high-performance, cross-functional environment with challenging timelines and goals.
Demonstrates curiosity and an open attitude toward exploring new ideas and a commitment to continuous learning.
Capable of training and mentoring colleagues on project management best practices.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Fluent in English. French and Spanish would be of value but not a requirement.
