  • Contractor Oversight:
  • Oversee contractors' performance
  • Equipment and Bulks Purchasing Strategy
  • Develop procurement strategies
  • Draft purchase and material management plan
  • Stress test strategies against best practices
  • Implement worldwide/regional/country agreements
  • Logistics:
  • Develop delivery plan
  • Coordinate freight and permits
  • Monitor item delivery
  • Expedite vendors falling behind
  • Identify sourcing efficiencies
  • Negotiate and issue purchase orders
  • Purchasing:
  • Identify potential vendors
  • Pre-qualify vendors
  • Interface with central procurement
  • Issue RFQs and purchase orders
  • Support closeout process
  • Manage commodity spend
  • Participate in claim resolution
  • Prepare bid evaluations and recommendations
Background and Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering or another relavent field of education
  • Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in MEP, Construction, or Facilities for large industrial projects ($100m+ CAPEX).
  • Additional experience in project controls or construction management is preferred.
  • Experience in the hi-tech, construction, and/or automotive industries is a plus.
  • Proficiency in strategic sourcing, opportunity analyses, and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI.
  • Able to thrive in a high-performance, cross-functional environment with challenging timelines and goals.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and an open attitude toward exploring new ideas and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Capable of training and mentoring colleagues on project management best practices.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Fluent in English. French and Spanish would be of value but not a requirement.
