We are seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant in the vibrant Purfleet and surrounding areas!If you have experience supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN) and are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, this could be the perfect role for you. We also offer free CPD-accredited courses to help develop your knowledge and understanding of SEN needs.Job Duties:
- Support: Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN in a classroom setting.
- Assist: Help teachers implement individual education plans tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Engage: Monitor and supervise students during class activities, ensuring they understand instructions and tasks.
- Manage: De-escalate challenging behavior with positivity and effective behavior management techniques.
- Communicate: Build positive relationships with teachers, parents, and professionals while maintaining detailed records of each child’s progress.
- Nurture: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that helps children integrate into school life more easily.
- Right to work in the UK
- Valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one
- Prior experience working with students with special educational needs
- Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
- A heart full of patience and empathy when working with students
