Early Years Teaching Assistant - MacclesfieldAre you a nurturing and enthusiastic individual with a passion for early years education? Whether you're an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant or just beginning your journey in education, Academics has exciting opportunities to work in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) settings across Macclesfield and the surrounding areas.We are currently recruiting dedicated and reliable EYFS Teaching Assistants to support teaching and learning in Reception classes for the new academic year. These roles offer a rewarding chance to help children in their early stages of development, build strong foundations for learning, and become a valued member of a welcoming school community.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities
  • Assist with early phonics, number skills, and personal development
  • Foster a positive and nurturing environment where young children feel safe and encouraged
  • Support pupils individually and in small groups to aid progress across key early development areas
  • Help with classroom setup, displays, and the organisation of learning materials
  • Provide support with personal care when needed (e.g. toileting, dressing)
  • Work collaboratively with EYFS staff, SENCOs, and other professionals
Role Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children in EYFS or an early years setting is highly desirable
  • A passion for working with young children and understanding of early childhood development
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, caring approach
  • Flexibility, patience, and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Right to work in the UK
