As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive and purposeful atmosphere in which pupils can thrive. Your knowledge and approach will help ensure a safe, respectful environment where every pupil feels valued, understood, and empowered.Key Responsibilities
- Implement tailored behaviour management strategies to support individual pupils.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to design and deliver effective behaviour intervention plans.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils requiring additional guidance.
- Carry out assessments and monitor pupil progress against agreed behaviour targets.
- Plan and deliver sessions on areas such as emotional regulation, resilience, and conflict resolution.
- Act as a positive role model, modelling appropriate behaviour and communication at all times.
- Experience in behaviour support, counselling, or a related role is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with pupils from diverse backgrounds.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of behaviour intervention strategies and approaches.
- A genuine commitment to supporting the well-being and personal growth of every pupil.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
