The prison houses around 1100 men with a variety of health needs and within this role, youll be an integral part of the healthcare team. Within this role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.SalaryThis position is full time working 37.5 hours per week. You will receive an annual salary of between £33,232 - £40,211 per annum, depending on experienceHoursShift patterns will be 7 nights on and 7 nights off.How will we support you?Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training courseCompetency frameworkRegional and national career development opportunitiesOur bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needsSupport from the wider teamCandidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checksMain duties of the jobAs a Night Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
  • Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework

  • Registered nurse Adult
  • Current professional qualification (NMC)
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
