Job Description:We're seeking an experienced Embedded Software Test & Release Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software verification and release activities for our next-generation SATCOM terminal systems. You will be responsible for developing test strategies, managing test execution across concurrent programmes, and ensuring timely, high-quality software releases using tools such as GitHub and Jira. You'll manage a small team of embedded software testers, take ownership of test KPIs and reporting, and work in close collaboration with developers to drive software quality within the wider team.Requirements:ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES· Lead the coordination, and execution of software test and release campaigns across concurrent programmes.· Define and implement comprehensive test strategies and test plans for automated and manual functional regression, integration, and system-level testing of an embedded system.· Oversee day-to-day test execution and verification activities to ensure alignment with project milestones and product requirements.· Track and report test and release KPIs for internal stakeholders.· Manage the end-to-end software release lifecycle across multiple programmes, using GitHub and Jira.· Generate and maintain accurate release documentation.· Mentor and line manage junior test engineers through test campaigns, championing best practice within the team.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS· Proven experience in software testing and release management for embedded systems.· Strong technical knowledge of embedded systems and software verification techniques.· Experience managing software releases using GitHub and Jira, or similar tools.· Demonstrated experience leading test campaigns in a multi-project environment.· Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, V-model, etc.).· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in embedded environments.· Strong understanding of software test methodologies; from unit, integration, system and acceptance testing.· Excellent knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting languages.· Strong problem-solving skills, able to autonomously navigate delivery challenges.· Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.Benefits:
