We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant at Borough Green Medical Practice. You will be required to support the nursing and medical team in the delivery of patient care, performing a range of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient running of the practice.Main duties of the job
  • Clinical Support:
  • Assist with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking blood samples, blood pressure readings, and ECGs.
  • Support the management of chronic diseases by conducting health checks and monitoring vital signs.
  • Patient Care:
  • Prepare patients for consultations and treatments.
  • Provide health education and lifestyle advice under the guidance of a nurse or GP.
  • Assist with wound care and dressings.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical systems.
  • Assist with the management of patient appointments and follow-ups.
  • Support the practice team with administrative tasks as required.
  • Infection Control:
  • Ensure clinical areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing and medical team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives

We are a large Medical Practice and have multiple departments which include Dispensary, Reception, Admin, ENT, Secretaries, 8 GP Partners and 3 salaried GPs and a Prescribing Clinical Pharmacist. We also carry out Minor Surgery, Vasectomies and have our own Community Gynae clinics.
