- Managing the financial and contractual aspects of planned maintenance projects.
- Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Overseeing procurement, tendering, and contract negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Producing valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
- Managing variations, change control, and risk management.
- Liaising with site teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.
- Monitoring project costs and progress to ensure works are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and health & safety standards.
- Supporting the mentoring and development of junior commercial staff as required.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within planned maintenance, refurbishment, or housing frameworks/Construction
- Strong knowledge of contract management, ideally JCT and NEC.
- Track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- RICS membership or working towards is advantageous.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
