Required for November 2025An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Teaching Assistant to join the Primary Division staff, working initially, at the Infant School, on a part-time basis, working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am until 2.30pm, term time only.The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and small group educational support for an individual or pupils with additional needs, to enable access to the curriculum and support emotional needs.The person appointed will be able to demonstrate good knowledge and application of literacy and numeracy, have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to adapt in order to meet the needs of the children and work with individuals or small groups and motivate and encourage the pupils’ learning.Key attributes required of the Teaching Assistant include:
  • Level 2 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • Experience of working with children with SEND
  • Willingness to attend appropriate training, occasionally outside of normal working hours
  • The ability to work in a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • A genuine enthusiasm to work with children
