08 May 2024 23:59Job Advert Template:adi Fire and Security Systems Sales DesignerThis role offers a competitive salary, a company car or allowance, and work-from-home flexibility.About the RoleAs a Fire & Security systems sales designer, you will have the ability to visit the customer, put together the design and present the final proposal to the end-client.Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and design the fire & security system opportunities tailored to meet specific project requirements, considering client needs, industry best practices, and applicable regulations.
  • Provide compliant quotations and designs based on information provided to the latest BAFE BS5839-1&6&9 and NSI standards.
  • Prepare accurate project estimates, including material and labour costs.
  • Create detailed system designs on CAD, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications, for various components such as fire alarms, aspirating systems, wireless fire alarm, access control, IP CCTV, intrusion alarm systems, perimeter detections systems, full networking architecture, barriers, and turnstiles.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate products and technologies based on project requirements, budget constraints, and industry standards with support from management.
  • Support the project team to oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of security systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and technicians to coordinate system installation and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during system integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning stages.
  • Stay updated with the latest fire & security technologies, industry trends, and regulations to provide innovative and effective system designs.
  • Document design specifications, installation procedures, and system configurations for future reference and knowledge sharing.
About youWe would like to hear from you if you have:
  • A working knowledge of Fire Alarm (BS5839-1 & 6 & 9) and CCTV (BS50132-7) standards
  • Experience with BAFE and NSI from design stage to handover of O&M’s
  • Proven experience in fire & security system design, integration, and implementation.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
  • Experienced with CAD software, e.g. Autodesk, blue-beam or others.
  • Previous experience in a role communicating directly to customers.
  • Relevant technical qualifications.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed for system assessments, installation oversight, and troubleshooting.
