With a competitive umbrella rate of £30.39 per hour and the chance to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss.What You Will Do:- Develop and refine design proposals for electric drive unit (EDU) projects, ensuring innovative and credible solutions.- Conduct package assessments and concept development to evaluate and enhance design proposals.- Investigate potential incremental improvements for future developments and upgrades.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate design solutions and resolve on-cycle issues.- Manage 3D assemblies, create detailed component and assembly drawings, and ensure alignment with manufacturing standards.- Identify and implement standards, processes, and tools to optimise design and align with best practices.What You Will Bring:- Proficiency in 3D modelling tools, preferably CATIA V6, and knowledge of GD&T and general drafting.- A proven track record of delivering innovative design solutions within the automotive or manufacturing industry.- Strong project management and issue resolution skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.- Experience in Agile project delivery and a detailed understanding of EDU design.- A Degree in Engineering or a related field, showcasing your technical expertise and knowledge.In this role, you'll contribute to the company's mission of driving innovation and excellence in engineering design.
