Pro MGA Solutions Ltd (‘Pro.MS’) currently have a new opportunity for a Compliance Analyst to join their growing team.As an MGA incubator and Principal, Pro.MS provides the necessary regulatory (FCA) permissions to each MGA client under management. It is imperative therefore that Pro.MS has the controls in place to protect its regulatory status, as well as ensuring that each client complies with the terms of its binding authorities on behalf of insurance capacity. Notwithstanding the regulatory responsibilities, Pro.MS works in partnership with its clients to support their business and assist in achieving its objectives.The RoleThe role is centred on supporting the existing compliance team and oversight of Pro MGA and clients. To ensure that clients remain compliant, provide effective support to devise and embed the appropriate controls that drive professional behaviour through practical and achievable good business practices.The role will require close communications across all stakeholders to ensure a good understanding of the business, its operations, and activities. The position will work alongside Account Manager(s) to develop relationships with clients and to attain understanding of regulatory and compliance matters in the delegated authority arena. The role is supported by specialist regulatory colleagues and external partners.Main Responsibilities
  • To support Pro MGA in the following areas:
  • Understand the significant responsibilities and governance among the firm’s directors and senior managers
  • To provide administration support to maintain appropriate systems and controls to ensure that the firm meets its regulatory requirements
  • To ensure documentation and systems are properly administered and regularly reviewed
  • To support the rollout of regulatory requirements of the company stemming from the FCA rules relating to general insurance activities.
  • To identify and support the changes identified to the Compliance framework, and work with the team and clients to implement them
  • To support the Account Management function to work with clients to administer regulatory requirements
  • Be a key contact for Pro MGA clients and the FCA on a day-to-day basis for Due Diligence administration and oversight
  • Understanding and enforcing the use of the Risk and Compliance Framework and Internal Governance Manual internally
  • Establishing awareness of the Risk and Compliance framework in place and use it to effectively manage clients.
  • Be involved in Compliance process improvements, constantly refining and updating all tasks and activities
Knowledge, behaviours and skills required
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills – thinking outside the box.
  • Desire to proactively investigate and resolve problems and define solutions and create processes that support the entire team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and establish strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory environment within the insurance industry and the ability to assess impact on Pro.MS business operations
  • At least 18 - 24 months experience within insurance operations
  • Excellent level of IT skills including Excel
  • Evident interpersonal and relationship-building skills; able to work within and promote a collegiate culture.
