- Install Luxury Joinery: Lead the on-site installation of high-end bespoke joinery components to exact specifications, achieving a flawless finish in every detail.
- Project Leadership: Plan and execute the installation schedule, accurately setting out joinery components and ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and guide the on-site team, providing mentorship to a junior fitter and ensuring all work meets our quality benchmarks.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as Shape London’s on-site representative, communicating professionally with clients, the in-house team, and contractors to ensure a smooth installation process and promptly address any issues.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site challenges or last-minute adjustments proactively to maintain project quality and schedule.
- Health & Safety: Uphold all health and safety standards during installs, maintaining a safe, tidy work environment and complying with site regulations at all times.
- Quality Control: Protect finished work (e.g. installed joinery and surrounding surfaces) and conduct final quality checks to ensure the delivered product meets Shape London’s exacting standards.
- Experience: Significant experience (ideally 10+ years) in high-end carpentry/joinery installations, with a portfolio of luxury residential and commercial projects demonstrating superb craftsmanship.
- Technical Skills: Excellent technical knowledge of joinery installation and construction methods, including the ability to accurately read and interpret 2D plans and 3D drawings/models.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work to the highest level of quality and finish.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability on-site, able to make sound decisions under pressure when unexpected challenges arise.
- Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional, client-friendly demeanour and the ability to work effectively with clients, designers, and construction teams.
- Independence & Teamwork: Self-motivated and reliable, capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision as well as leading and collaborating within a team environment.
- Certifications: Valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) is required/preferred for site work, and SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification is highly desirable.
- License & Eligibility: Full, clean UK driving licence and the legal right to work in the UK (as the role involves travel to various sites across London).
