Job DescriptionAs our client continues to expand operations, they are seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on Skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their highly experienced team.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the repair of motors, pumps, and gearboxes, preferably gained in an electric motor repair shop environment. Precision, attention to detail, and familiarity with close limits and fits for rotating machinery are essential.This role involves both workshop-based and on-site work.What's on Offer:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working both on-site and in the workshop
  • Diagnosing mechanical failures
  • Measuring wear using micrometers, verniers, etc.
  • Dismantling and reassembling rotating equipment
  • Applying knowledge of engineering limits and fits
  • Removing and fitting precision components
  • Working with electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Previous experience in a similar mechanical fitting role
  • Skilled in general bench fitting
  • Proven ability to dismantle and repair rotating machinery
  • Strong engineering knowledge and a proactive attitude
  • Flexibility to work overtime, often at short notice
  • Full UK driving licence
