Full Time: Monday - Friday - 40h a week + Overtime guaranteed.I am looking for a CNC Turner Mazak Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering company specialising in high-quality components for highly regulated industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport (F1), Naval and Precision Engineering. They work within a modern, well-equipped machine shop with advanced CNC Mazak lathes, producing components in varying batch sizes, from one-offs to medium and large-scale production.CNC Turner Mazak Programmer Duties:
- Programming, Setting, Changing off-sets and Operating CNC Lathes using Mazatrol/Mazak controls.
- Work with a wide range of materials, including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, composites and exotic alloys.
- Produce components to tight tolerances for industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport F1, Naval & Precision Engineering.
- Optimise machining processes, adjusting speeds, feeds, and tooling for maximum efficiency.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finishes.
- Maintain a high standard of quality control and ensure components meet Aerospace industry standards.
- Proven experience in programming Mazatrol/Mazak CNC Lathes.
- Ability to work on one-offs, small batches, and medium-large production runs with high precision demands.
- Previous Experience working in industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport (F1), Naval or high-precision engineering is essential.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tool selection, and work-holding methods.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Programming offline using Auto-Cad/SolidEdge or hyperMILLS and some offline duties to work out toolpaths and calculations of drawing geometry (DESIRABLE)
