As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in guiding a skilled team of SACT nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring each patient receives personalised and holistic care. What you will do:
  • Lead and manage the nursing team to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Coordinate and oversee patient assessments and treatment plans in collaboration with the medical team.
  • Maintain and enhance the competency of staff through mentoring and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and maintain a safe, effective, and efficient working environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive cancer care.
  • Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
  • Manage resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation to meet patient needs.
What you’ll bring:
  • Current NMC Nurse registration.
  • Extensive experience in the Cancer/Oncology specialty with SACT competency.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Previous management experience or training in a leadership role.
