- Support students in comprehending and adhering to behaviour guidelines, classroom procedures, and academic assignments
- Work collaboratively with teachers, special educators, and other support personnel to devise and execute effective support strategies for students
- Adhere to the school's behavioural guidelines and take responsibility for safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of children, remaining mindful of any issues related to home, child, teacher, or school
- Implement strategies and interventions for managing behaviour to address challenging situations and promote positive alternatives.
- Engage students in interactive activities aimed at enhancing their understanding
- Offer individualised or small-group assistance to students, concentrating on fostering fundamental academic and life competencies
- Monitor student advancement and behaviour trends, recording observations and maintaining clear communication
- Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
- Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or experience within education sector or experience in assisting/learning
- Relevant experience working with individuals with challenging behaviours, preferably in an educational or youth support setting
- Able to provide two years’ worth of employment references
