  • Provide remote support to commissioning engineers, including fault-finding and software modifications via remote login
  • Set up remote machine connections in the field, liaising with customer IT departments to establish secure access
  • Perform upgrades and modifications on customers’ existing equipment as required
  • Travel to customer sites to commission equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, ensure reliable and efficient operation, and train customers in equipment use and maintenance
  • Support the service desk by assisting with technical issues reported by customers on existing machinery
  • Work closely with the electrical, programming, and testing teams to stay informed on the latest improvements and component updates, enabling you to effectively support new machine upgrades in the field
  • Ensure all documentation, reports, and job-related paperwork are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner
Commissioning Engineer - The Person:
  • Ability to program/modify PLC programs
  • Experience of Mitsubishi, Siemens and/or Rockwell PLC
  • Good fault finding and problem solving skills
  • Understanding of remote machinery connections/networking
  • Flexibility to travel when required
Approximately 80% of your time will be office-based, providing remote support to site-based commissioning engineers. The remaining 20% of your time will involve travel to customer sites - either when remote support is insufficient, when on-site presence is more efficient, or when direct support for the commissioning team is requiredLocated in East Anglia, ideal commutable locations would include Peterborough, Spalding, Wisbech, Huntingdon, Cambridge, CorbyAE1
