We are currently working with a respected secondary school in Leigh, Greater Manchester, which is seeking a Science Technician to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This temporary role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, set up, and maintain laboratory equipment for practical science lessons.Assist teaching staff during experiments and demonstrations.Ensure the safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment in line with health and safety standards.Support pupils and staff during practical activities.Work collaboratively with the science department to enhance teaching and learning.Manage and maintain lab stock and materials.Be proactive and able to work independently when required.What We’re Looking ForA strong interest in science and education.Confidence working in a classroom or lab environment.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Ability to manage time effectively and respond to the needs of the department.Comfortable supporting students, including those with challenging behaviour.Flexible, enthusiastic, and able to adapt quickly to changes.RequirementsEducated to A-Level or Degree level in a relevant subject (Science pre
