- Lead the pastry section, ensuring all products are prepared to the highest culinary and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant work environment in accordance with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Monitor and ensure the quality and consistency of dishes throughout preparation and final plating.
- Train and mentor junior staff to uphold kitchen standards and support team development.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new dessert concepts and suggest menu alternatives.
- Work cooperatively across departments to foster a team-first environment and support smooth operations.
- Stay informed on seasonal ingredients and new market trends to inspire innovation and freshness.
- Manage pastry inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and ingredient quality control.
- Promote sustainability by minimising food and equipment waste through efficient practices.
- Implement and uphold all brand standards, including Touches of Hyatt and Food & Beverage Top 20.
