Join our higher education client as a Senior Buyer and help deliver a professional procurement service that supports their goals.What you'll do:Lead tender processes and contract awards for a range of goods, services, and works.Develop and manage category plans focused on value for money and sustainability.Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.Manage supplier performance and develop strategic partnerships.Ensure procurement processes meet legal and risk standards.Analyze costs and financial implications to support smart purchasing decisions.Work closely with colleagues to deliver procurement projects.Stay updated with industry trends and represent the client externally.What we're looking for:Degree or strong experience in procurement/category management.Proven experience managing complex tenders and contracts.Skilled in negotiation to deliver value for money.Familiarity with eProcurement systems (desirable).Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply membership or working towards it (desirable).Experience training others on procurement processes is a plus.Benefits:Hybrid role: 50% office, 50% home workingFlexible working arrangementsExcellent salaryPublic and University designated holidaysPension schemeWhy join?
