An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant HR Advisor to join our HR operations team. The Assistant HR Advisor will support the HR Advisory Team with the provision of a comprehensive and high quality HR administrative service to Trust managers and staff. They will provide a high level of support and assistance in ensuring key activities are undertaken in an efficient and effective manner. The postholder, along with another colleague, will be responsible for overseeing and undertaking all HR compliance checks and will be expected to maintain efficient administration of these processes and ensure accurate recording of all data. They will also effectively manage shared mailboxes, ensuring emails are responded to in a timely manner. They will offer a customer focused approach, liaising with managers and staff across all Divisions, Union Representatives and where necessary, external agencies.This isa hybrid role, primarily based at our Teddington hub, a beautiful location nestled between the River Thames and Bushy Park, one of the UK's most renowned Royal Parks. This idyllic setting is perfect for a lunchtime walk in nature, and there are also charming independent shops and cafes nearby.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be expected to respond to queries via email and telephone, explain HR policies and their application to our stakeholders (staff and managers in the Trust) in a clear, helpful and supportive manner. Prior knowledge of Trust policies is not required; however, the successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive can-do attitude, a willingness to learn and have a sound understanding of good people practices.You will provide professional and timely generalist support to staff and managers across the Trust on a range of HR matters, including accurate information on all terms and conditions of employment (including Agenda for Change) and the application of HR policies and procedures in line with best practice.Under the guidance of the Deputy HR Advisory Manager, the successful postholder will support all aspects of employee relations issues, ensuring compliance to legislation and policies and escalating when appropriate to mitigate any associated risks.About usKingston Hospital and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust cares for more than half a million patients a year, from across Kingston, Richmond, Elmbridge (Surrey), Merton, Wandsworth and Sutton.   • Active Associate CIPD membership
  • Working towards level 5 CIPD qualification

  • Sufficient recent experience in a Generalist HR Admin capacity
  • Experience in guiding managers on HR policies and procedures
  • Experriende in minute taking
  • Experience of using HR databases to record and access information
Desirable
  • Experience of handling employee relations issues at early stages e.g. Grievance, Disciplinary etc.
Skills /AbilitiesEssential
  • Advanced keyboard skills including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to write clear, concise reports and policies.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise a large volume of work with frequently changing priorities and work systematically towards tight deadlines
